Journey to Henderson Waves!

Hi everyone, =)

My five good friends and I made a decision to spend some time at Henderson Waves (located at Henderson road) on a Sunday. Our purpose was to see the Henderson waves bridge and picnic. We stayed there from about 3pm to 8pm (Picnic, chat to our hearts' content and play UNO game).

What is so special about Henderson Waves? I would say it is rather artistic. It has a wave-like structure that looks like ribs. It is also constructed quite a distance from the ground. The tallest point of the bridge is 77.88 metres above sea level.

For your kind reference, we took Bus 131 from Harbourfront bus stop. We alighted after 3 bus stops, crossed the road and walked up a steep staircase. It was quite taxing on our knees.

Upon reaching the top of the staircase, we followed the direction sign. Within 5 minutes, we reached the Henderson waves bridge.

We took about 10 minutes to walk from one end to the other. The view along the bridge was not too bad (mainly trees), but not too fantastic. I would recommend visiting the bridge at night, it is quite romantic when the lights are on.

Overall I had a great day!

I took some photos.
