Big Brother Bak Kut Teh (Da Ge Da Bak Kut Teh)

Don't you love the aromatic fragrance of pork ribs and pepper simmering in a big pot? The smell, the taste of pepper and garlic with two meaty pork ribs in a bowl is so comforting to the body and soul!

Every time I visit Bukit Batok, I never fail to eat at Da Ge Da Bak Kut Teh store. This Teochew style Bak Kut Teh is a very well-balanced mix of pepper and garlic in a meaty and naturally sweet soup. I'm in love with it!! The considerate store assistant is on a constant look-out to refill my bowl with another serving of hot soup. Bonus point scored!!!

You may also like to order the side dishes such as peanuts and beancurd skin. It goes really well with steamed, white rice! :)

Don't you just love the local scenes of Pasar Malam? It is the fraternal twin of the Taiwanese Night Market. Oh well! On a much smaller scale.

There are many Churros stores popping up at Pasar Malam sites, trying to take advantage of the still hot trend of this popular Spanish fried-dough snack.

Nom nom... I bought this from a neighbourhood Pasar Malam recently... 5 Churros rolled in Cinnamon sugar, served with Chocolate sauce (S$4).

I must say this buy is on the pricey end of the scale considering the size of the Churros.

I really want to try out the Flavoured Churros at Churros Factory one day...... yum yum.. :)
